Problem

Word of mouth doesn't scale.

Coran had spent years selling real estate in Dubai. Every time a client closed on a home, the same question came up. Who do you trust to fit the curtains, service the AC, or clean the place before move-in?

He started making introductions himself, just to help his own clients settle in. Then he saw the problem was bigger than his client list. Homeowners and tenants across Dubai were doing the same thing. They asked around, hoped for a decent recommendation, and often got burned by suppliers with no accountability.

He wanted to solve it properly. Not just for people who bought a house through him, but for anyone in Dubai who needed a trustworthy pair of hands.

What I designed

A site that has to earn trust on day one.

I treated this as a system, not just a website. That meant a data structure, a process flow, and automation sitting behind a clean public-facing marketplace. The public site introduces the service categories and trust signals. It has dedicated landing pages for homeowners, tenants, and suppliers. A full services directory covers everything from AC installation to landscaping and wifi setup.

A marketplace lives or dies on trust. So a large part of the work was making the site feel like a business you'd hand your house keys to. That meant premium photography on every page header, a rebuilt icon system across the service grid, and a full copy pass so it read clearly rather than just sounding polished.

One practical lesson from this phase: premium photography can still hurt text contrast once real copy sits on top of it. Busy detail in a photo, like dark clothing or plant leaves, can sit right behind a heading and make it hard to read. The fix was a second contrast layer: a gradient scrim on top of the photo's own fade, plus subtle text shadows. Every header stays legible now, whatever is happening in the photo behind it.

What I built

Two audiences, one form that knows the difference.

Two form flows sit at the centre of the experience. A "Get Started" flow captures what a homeowner or tenant needs and routes them into the lead pipeline. A separate flow lets contractors apply to join the supplier network.

Early on, both flows ran through a single form. That meant a supplier could accidentally end up filling in a customer request instead of a business application. I fixed it by branching the form itself. Choosing "Supplier" now redirects straight to the supplier application, so each audience only ever sees questions meant for them.

CRM & automation

One source of truth, not two.

Every submission flows into Zoho Forms and lands directly in Zoho CRM, split cleanly into Leads and Suppliers. This was the single most important design decision on the project. One place for every customer request and every supplier relationship. No manual re-entry, and no data living in two places at once. Both pipelines were tested end to end, from form submission through to a live CRM record, before anything went live.

Live chat runs through Zoho SalesIQ. It's set up to keep conversations in chat rather than routing visitors into voice calls. That way, Coran isn't fielding phone calls from every visitor who just wants a quick answer.

SEO & content

Written to be read, not just published.

Every heading, description, and form message was rewritten to read clearly and naturally, not just to sound polished. A real About page was built around Coran's actual story too, replacing placeholder text with the honest version of why Cora Home exists.

Outcome

Live, and both pipelines confirmed working.

Cora Home Services is live, with both the lead and supplier pipelines confirmed working end to end. Coran is running the site in the real world now, to gather usage patterns before the next round of changes. The roadmap already has a clear shape: ad platform conversion tracking, a WhatsApp contact channel, and a supplier vetting dashboard inside Zoho CRM.
